Mitch Murder is the pseudonym of Johan Bengtsson, an electric synthwave musician from Stockholm, Sweden. His first EP “After Hours” in ’09 and the albums “Current Events and Burning Crome” were released on the label Rosso Corsa Records 2010 and 2011. Mitch Murder’s music is influenced by “jazz, cheesy 50’s bossa nova, 70’s motown or 80’s pop”, and musicians and artists like Paul Hardcastle, Jan Hammer and Vince DiCola. He mainly works with the Renoise DAW for music production. He has released a genuine variety of EPs and albums and also music for video games and movies. In 2014 he released his third album Interceptor on the Mad Decent label. David Sandberg, the director of the movie Kung Fury contacted him for collaborations in 2013 on which he contributed with several tracks. Before the movie’s release, he released the single track True Survivor with David Hasselhoff on vocals. Both the music clip and the movie went viral after its releases, getting significant positive critical acclaim worldwide.
